Hand-picked apples are grown in orchards, nestled in the rich fertile soils surrounding Colcombe House itself.
This low-sugar apple variety was traditionally used as a cider apple, at Colcombe House we decided to share the goodness of this delicious, slightly sharper apple juice that is delightful with breakfast and salty foods!
In amongst our cider orchards are our dessert apple trees. We have planted these varieties as they do blossom earlier than our cider varieties and as a result attract bees to our orchards – and this we really love (working with mother nature) – to create and grow juicy apples as naturally as possible.
